Pitch Development

Services   >   Pitch Development

When your sales pitch has the ability to generate millions of dollars for your company, or change the trajectory of your entire business, you can’t afford to take any chances.

When you have everything on the line, every detail matters.  When you're dealing with top executives, you only get one chance - from the story you tell, the way you deliver the message, who delivers the message, who you’re pitching, the ask of the prospect, and how you execute following a pitch.  A lot can go wrong and often does.

Pitch presentations must be personalized to an audience.  Boilerplate decks are rarely effective.  Pitch presentations should be a business's way of creating a relationship versus force feeding the audience with information.

With that, you can't assume you know what the prospect wants or needs until you've asked the right questions to understand how you can best serve them.

By augmenting this understanding with an effective set of data and insights,  you'll be able to present an insightful and compelling story during pitch time.  This can help make the difference in closing a deal or never being heard from again.

Many businesses - from startups to the Fortune 100 - make the mistake of developing a pitch deck that co-mingles all of their products, services, and capabilities.  When this happens it's near impossible for a prospect to discern what they should be buying, how much it costs, what the expected return or revenue could be, the benefit to their end customers, or how much it will cost them to implement the solution they’re being sold.

These same businesses can also compound the complexity of a pitch when they attempt to “sell ahead of the curve”.  In doing so, they make a grand pitch on all they have to offer, or could offer, but don’t actually have the ability to deliver the product, service, or solution they’re selling in the near-term.

For solutions that require the prospect to co-develop or implement a capability or experience, there needs to be quick recognition on whether that prospect even has the ability to influence their company’s own enterprise roadmap and prioritize the opportunity in a reasonable manner.

In the end, the ask of the prospect needs to be clear, actionable, and de-risked to make it easy for them to say yes, and then be able to quickly follow through.

Take Flight works with clients to ensure their pitch and presentation is clear and concise.  No bloated pitch decks with confusing messaging, jam-packed text, ambiguous data, internal jargon, bad design, or unclear product offerings.  We help clients leverage internal and external data to tell the right story, coupled with the value and benefits a product or service can provide.

We will help develop your pitch into bite-sized chunks that allow you to sell, be understood, and deliver - helping you set the right outcomes and expectations from the start.  We’ll simplify and refine your message so anyone in your company can present it eloquently and quickly.

When we’re done, you’ll have confidence that your pitch is worthy of being presented to the CEO or senior executive at your prospect company, and the millions of dollars that you may be asking them to commit to your business.
